2025 Recap!

Happy Saturday friends! We’ve finally reached the last Saturday of the year! This year has truly been a year of transition for me, a year where I truly thrived in 2025! Here’s a recap of my year and all that God has walked with me through in 2025!

Before I get into the recap, let me just say I’m not sure what I expected out of 2025, besides health, wellness, and God’s provision. I didn’t make a list of goals or even a vision board, I just simply followed God’s voice and took things day by day.

Let’s start at the top of 2025! In January I spent the month resetting. I feel like that was the month where I really found myself beginning to pour into myself more. I started my gym journey and found that I can indeed be consistent in the gym lol. I celebrated and created new memories with friends. I ended January with seeing my life flash before my eyes, yet also was able to walk away knowing that God’s hand is over my life and He covers me.

February, my favorite month of the year of course! I celebrated my 29th birthday. My birthday this year was so special. I genuinely felt so loved by all of my close friends. Definitely on of my best birthday’s yet! I truly was overwhelmed in a good way by the love and support of my community. Definitely a birthday I’ll never forget. Might I add, I took some of the best birthday pictures this year too. They’re up there with my 25th birthday pictures as my favorites.

In March I participated in my first speaking engagement! I was blessed with the opportunity to speak to young girls and pour into them. That has always been a dream of mine. April was a month of transition for me. I was transitioning from one position to the next. The month of April was also a month of preparation for me too. It went fast but it was good.

In May I gave my first speech and successfully graduated from ministry school. This was such a huge accomplishment for me as anyone who knows me, knows that I in no way shape or form wanted to go to school again, but one of the greatest things I’ve learned over the years is that they’re blessings in your obedience to God. In May I also became the worship pastor at my church. Another thing that I never saw for myself, but God saw fit. As someone who LOVES music and has always wanted to be a singer/songwriter, but also someone who genuinely loves to worship God through music and singing, God truly blessed the little girl in me. Outside of the desire to create musically, I’m grateful that God entrusts me with such a position, something I don’t take lightly. To end May off I celebrated my goddaughter’s 1st birthday and that was the icing on the cake for May!

In June I experienced internally waking up early enough to watch the sunrise by the water which was such a beautiful thing to experience. I also started my very first garden which taught me a lot about time, patience, and harvest. July was filled with spending time with family and friends and creating new memories. In August I went to Jamaica for the first time and met my dad’s side of the family, the most special moment was meeting my grandmother in person for the first time. A trip I won’t ever forget. I also traveled for a family reunion on my mom’s side where I also met more family I never met before lol. I love new kinfolk.

In September I got to see one of my favorite artists in concert and also had the opportunity to lead worship in a new capacity with now a new friend. Thankful for the open doors and opportunities. In October I officially became a licensed minister, was able to see another one of my favorite artists. I also ended October with going to my first Detroit Pistons game, where I also got to shoot on the court for the first time too lol.

In November I was blessed to be able to make a big move that I’m so thankful to God for. I also did a pop-up shop and met some new people who were truly a blessing to me! Now to December, I’ve really spent this month trying to stay afloat, however when I look back over the year that I have had, I can truly say that God has been with me this year, God has protected me this year, and most importantly God has had my back this year. I’m truly looking forward to 2026 being one of the best years of my life. I know that may sound cliché but I’m standing in high faith for a lot of things for next year and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for this next chapter of my life!

My prayer today is that no matter how 2025 may have been for you! I pray that you know God is no respector of person. Meaning what He has done for me, He will surely do for you too! God wants us to not only live our best life but He wants us to live a blessed life! God is a faithful God if I haven’t said it enough! To know it, is one thing but to experience it is a whole different thing! I pray that 2026 will be the year that we experience God and not just know Him!

With love,

-Yours Truly, Eb
