Patience Is A Virtue pt.2

Happy Saturday Friends! Patience is a topic that’s still on my heart. I recently got a puppy and before I brought him home I prayed and asked God for this experience to show me something about Him that I have yet to unlock. In this time it seems to be patience being the thing that I have yet to fully unlock.

If I’m being honest, I do struggle with being patient at times and I believe that God is highlighting this area for me to not only purify me but also to prepare me to steward well what He has for me in this next season of my life. For me being patient isn’t hard it’s the unknown that makes it difficult. The bouts of uncertainty that comes at times. I experience this revelation more when I find myself being impatient with my puppy. I at times have to ask God to give me patience to endure this phase that won’t last forever.

It’s funny how in hindsight the very thing that we often are praying and believing God for in someone else is the very thing that we ourselves need the most. Patience is definitely a fruit of the spirit that I’m adhering to working on daily. I share this as a reminder that patience is a virtue and a fruit of the spirit that could benefit us all to work towards carrying.

My prayer today is that we will adhere to patience and that we will allow ourselves to work towards being patient in our process (whatever that looks like individually) and patient also with ourselves as God is patient with us!
