Bold Like A Lion

Happy Saturday good people! I want to share my thoughts and simply what’s on my heart concerning boldness and being bold when it matters the most. I believe that we live in a society where boldness is met a lot of time with audacity and arrogance and not with confidence and courage. The word bold is defined as (of a person, action, or idea) showing an ability to take risks; confident and courageous. When I think of what it means to be bold it means to go against the “norm”.
Boldness in Christ comes with a level of obedience that often requires or has you go against the norm or what’s common. It comes with the choice to choose to do or say what God wants over being uncomfortable or caring what other people may think. It’s humbling yourself enough to wait on God for whatever it is and still give honor and praise to God before it even happens.
When I think of a lion I think of the confidence a lion has. Lions don’t ask permission to mark their territory. They roar boldly and fearlessly. They are known as the King of the jungle. As believers we should be like the lions. Bold and fearless. We represent the most high King. Being bold is uncomfortable especially if you’re given the go to do something that seems or feels out of your scope. We have to trust and know that if God placed us in position to do a thing that He would also back us all the way through.
Opportunities may come the require boldness. You may feel prompted to do things that you’ve never done before, maybe it’s praying for a stranger, sharing an encouraging yet on time word for someone, blessing someone beyond what you typically may do, or it could be showing a sign of surrenderance in a public place.
Today I want to challenge you to be bold in Christ. Ask yourself how or what can I do to walk in boldness today? How can I stretch myself a little more? Your boldness just may change the trajectory of someone’s life.
My prayer today is that we walk in our authority as believers and that we are bold like lions. I pray that we take our eyes off people and refocus our eyes on the matter at hand. I pray that we grow comfortable going against the grain and be obedient to that very thing that God wants us to do.
With love,
-Yours Truly, Eb
