Intentional

Updated: Dec 26, 2019

This week the word "intentional" has been deep on my heart. Throughout this week alone, God has showed me just how intentional He is. I think that often times when life unexpectedly happens whether it's in a good way or a bad way (but I'm mainly talking from the perspective of good) we forget that nothing that takes place on this earth catches God by surprise. We often find ourselves mind blown by God's goodness especially when we can physically feel His hand on our life. Think about where you are in life at this very moment and something you're extremely thankful for. You may have a "wow moment" where you never thought you would be where you are but you're here and you wouldn't change it for the world. It's so hard to put in words but the feeling you feel is a feeling of fullness and completeness.

Over the past few months, I've talked a lot about walking in your purpose and following God's plan and will for your life. This is mainly because I've seen the rewards of doing so in my own life, but also because I believe that in the place and time when you are doing so is when you have the most "wow moments" and that's when you begin to realize just how intentional God truly is. I wrote a poem this week on how intentional God is and while writing this poem God showed me how He's intentional with everything that He does. He has reasoning behind everything that He does. God is intentional in time, intentional in His thoughts about us, and intentional with His grace and mercy for us. I often think about my life before I fully began to walk wholeheartedly with Christ and I now realize how empty I was. Comparing it to my life with Him, I often feel more full in Him and secure. Seeing how God was intentional on my journey to knowing Him genuinely and not just religiously showed me how patient God is but also how unconditionally loved I am by Him.

God is truly waiting on us to fully trust Him and give Him all of us so that He can give us all of the desires of our hearts but also so that He can fully take care of us. God wants us to be happy and to bless us. He wants us to see how mighty and great He is but He doesn't want to be used by us. Just like how we don't like to be used by people God is the same way. He wants us to have the same energy about Him when life is good and also when life is rough. God has so many great things in store for all of His children's life. We just need to tap in with Him and follow.

My prayer today is that we seek God more and follow Him. I pray that we will experience and see God's hand on our lives more than we ever have before. I pray that as we tap more into God, His will and plan for our lives will be done and we will began to see for ourselves just how intentional and loving He is.

With love,

-Yours Truly Eb
