Let Patience Have Her Perfect Work

Happy Saturday friends! It’s been a few weeks since my last post, yet I pray that those of you who read this are doing well! I wanted to share something that was on my heart this morning and what I’ve been reminded of throughout the past couple of weeks. That very thing is patience.

I’ve been thinking more lately about certain aspects of my future and things that I’ve been and still am believing God for. Sometimes frustration and even confusion come up and it’s in those moments where I’m often reminded that patience and faith is what will lead me to God’s perfect will and His absolute best. I’m learning that even in new seasons where patience may look different; those moments are also teaching me and preparing me for what’s to come. Its trusting and knowing that God will exceed my expectations in all areas of my life as long as I wait patiently on Him. I often remind myself that it’s the heart posture behind patience as well. Am I waiting well? Am I being patient by actual definition? Those are the questions I often ask myself amongst other questions to make sure that I’m not just going through the motions.

There may be someone reading this and feeling that time is not in their side or that life is passing them by without them seeing the fruits of what they have hoped and prayed for. I want to encourage you and remind you that God sees and knows all, He hasn’t forgotten. God’s timing is perfect and that’s the truth that we have to hold deep in our hearts. We have to let patience have her perfect work. James 1:4

My prayer today is that while we wait patiently on God to fulfill His promises to us we won’t interfere with His plans, but that instead we will do what God’s word says and that’s to let patience have her perfect work. I pray that in waiting we will continue to seek God for not only clarity but for revelation as well.

With love,

-Yours Truly, Eb
