So Close But Yet So Far (Dream Big)
Have you ever felt like you were so close to something but yet so far? I think many of us have felt this way at some point in our life. We feel so close to a breakthrough or a new opportunity but at the same time you feel so far. Lately I've been in this place where I feel like I'm so close to where I want to be but in some cases I also feel so far. I have to ask myself what's holding me back? Or better yet what can I do to become closer instead of farther from my goals and dreams? How I wish I had the answer, yet I'm still figuring out what really works for me.
I think sometimes we can get so caught up in doing things the "traditional" or "safe" way that we don't allow ourselves to think bigger. I wrote before about how we put God in a box sometimes and the same way that we could put God in a box based off fear or lack of trust and faith is the same way we put our goals and dreams in a box. It requires faith to go higher. It requires freedom from fear and failure to really accomplish the vision. Nothing in life will be perfect and the journey won't always be easy but it will be worth it for the reward you will receive based on the choices you make regarding taking full control of your mind, fear, and anything else that is keeping you from doing exactly what it is your heart is yearning to do.
We focus so much on what this may look like to others and how will you not look crazy, but I learned early last year that crazy faith will get you places that people have never heard, seen, or thought of. If you're walking in your purpose and doing things according to God's will for your life why not add crazy, radical, unfathomable faith to the mix? Today I want to challenge you to take your dreams and goals out the box and start dreaming big again! Maximize your goals and stop limiting them. Do what's necessary and required for these things to come to pass because at the end of the day faith without works is non-existent. I truly believe that a lot of us are closer than we think, we just have to change our mindset and how we go about the process. Keep adjusting and make the needed changes until you get it right. Show grace to yourself and be patient in what's worth it.
My prayer today is that we dream big again and that we take God, our dreams, and our goals out of the box that we have packed them away in and begin to fully live the life that our heart desires but better yet the life God has desired for us to live.
-Yours Truly, Eb
