Thankful With A Heart Of Gratitude

Thanksgiving (noun): The expression of gratitude, especially to God. Psalm 107:8-9

Gratitude (noun): The quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness. 2Corinthians 9:11-12

As we prepare today to feast and enjoy family, let us not forget to thank God for the breath He has continued to breathe in us on this day and the days before. We never realize how much we take for granted day after day until we actually just sit and think about it. We have so much to be thankful for. Spend time with God today and just thank Him for all He has done and all that He is going to do. It even may be a tough time for you right now but still give thanks to God because He is worthy of all the praise and thanks on this day just as He is on any other day. There's just so much to be thankful for, like the roof over our heads, the car we drive, the jobs we have, the life we live, the family we have, the hot water we have, the clothes we have, the food we have, the options we have. I know we may look at our lives and feel like we could have so much more and things could be so much better but let me tell you, it could be a different story. Remember the next time you feel unsatisfied about life, just know that there is always someone hoping and praying to have what we often take for granted. So thank God for the things you have and also thank God in advance for the things that you are believing in Him to do.

My prayer today is that every home across this nation will be filled with peace, love and joy. I pray that gratitude is filled in every heart. I pray for the families that recently loss their loved ones around this time of year and any year before, that they feel comfort and peace in Christ. I pray for the homeless that their situation will be turned around and I pray that every issue or situation that we all may be going through will be lessened and that we all will have the heart to be thankful.

With love,

-Yours Truly, Eb
