Worried About The Wrong Things

With all that's happening in the world these days it's so easy to get caught up and worried about the wrong things. In such time of uncertainty there's lack of unity and even love being shown because we are focusing so much on the things that don't matter. We let the offenses of others get underneath our skin, we focus on who said or who did what, we become distracted by the distractions. What if we shift our focus and focus on the things that really matters? What if instead of trying to be right or heard we process what we may see or hear and then respond and when or if we choose to respond, why don't we choose to respond in love? Instead of focusing so much on the negative outcome, why not try to focus most of our attention on the many ways that we are blessed even in spite of a pandemic. Have we focused on being a blessing to those around us during this time? Have we encouraged someone in the last month? Or even really setting time aside to pray for those around us and in authority. These are the things that matter the most. We shouldn't allow ourselves to get so caught up on the chaos that we forget what matters the most and all the important things in life.

Today I challenge you to bless someone in some way shape or fashion, it doesn't even have to be monetary. Pray for someone, pray for our government and leaders. Encourage someone or post a positive message, let your family and friends know that you love them. Check on someone who you haven't talked to in a while. Be intentional about the important things.

My prayer today is that we will focus more on the priceless things in life. I pray that we cherish moments with our loved ones. I pray that we step outside of our comfort zone and express love and gratitude. I pray that we will find ourselves in someway being a blessing to others and uplifting those around us.

With love,

-Yours Truly, Eb
