Fear Not! (Isaiah 41:10)

Writer: yourstrulyebblogyourstrulyebblog

Happy Saturday friends! I’m happy to be writing this post this morning as I’ve been feeling quite overwhelmed and slightly drained lately. I’m practicing listening to my body and resting when need be or should I say more often. I’ve learned over the past few years that it’s okay to not have anything to do or do anything at all, and how that in itself is a form of rest. I remember my aunt would always tell me that I don’t have to always be doing something as thinking back on it she was right lol.

Anywho, I want to talk about fear this morning. I’ve noticed over this past month that all of the recent current events and state of the unknown has released much fear into the earth. One of the things that God has been reminding me of lately is to not move in fear and to stay prayerful. I’m reminded of the scripture Isaiah 41:10. It says “fear not, for I am with your be not dismayed, for I am you God.” This scripture is reassuring because God Himself is telling us that we don’t have to be afraid because He is with us. God is with us in the highs and in the lows. God is aware and knows all that is taking place and that will take place. None of these things catches Him by surprise, even the things that He allows. We may not understand why such things are allowed by God, but one thing that is highlighted is the consequences to where our hearts have turned towards. We are an idolatrous nation and our focus isn’t on the Lord. In that we open ourselves up to be attacked by the evil one. We have to know that there is an evil one who is waiting for any opportunity to “try” to destroy or delay God’s plan. There will be times where things seem to be out of control and cause fear and angst. Hold on to the promise of God. If God says not to fear hold on to the fact that He will take care of us, cover us, protect us and keep those who trust and love Him. So don’t panic when you hear of chaos and attacks. Remember God can be trusted.

My prayer today is that we divorce ourselves from fear, anxiety and worry. I pray that we trust in God and hold on to His promise and carry that God can be trusted forever and always.

With love,

-Yours Truly, Eb
