Reignite the Fire

Happy Saturday friends! It’s been exactly a month since my last post and as much as that was unexpected, I’m reminded of the importance of prioritizing myself so that I can show up as my best self in the moments where it matters the most.
I’ve mentioned before of how navigating a new chapter in life has been going and as I won’t say it’s been bad I can truly say that it has been uncomfortable. However, I’ve been learning lately to be comfortable in the uncomfortable. There’s a lot that I’m continuously learning about myself and even about God in this season and it’s been different yet very eye opening. Of course it wouldn’t be like the enemy if he didn’t come in and add his own attacks to what already feels hard.
For the first time in a while I found myself in a low place, where I felt pressed on every side. I recognized my fire and zeal for my purpose began to dwindle. What once seemed to be of ease now felt like a fight. Even in this I felt like all alone God was teaching me a new lesson for a new level. Like only a good Father would. He was preparing me and has been preparing me.
Sometimes we can get so caught up in the motions and become distracted by our world that we’re not focused on the very thing God wants and needs our attention on. I know for me there’s areas where I have been distracted and off my post. I had this analogy come to me earlier this week about a guard being on his post to warn and sound the alarm for when danger is near. When we’re off our post in whatever that may be, when we’re distracted, and when our fire is low we become an easy target for attacks. We have to endure, stay focused, remain on guard and on our post until God says move.
What got me back on my post you ask? Simply maneuvering in my purpose in His presence with the focus that I’m doing it for an audience of One and that’s God and God alone. That’s when I got My fire back. That’s when my fire was reignited in an encounter with God in His presence.
Someone may read this and feel that there fire is completely extinguished. Maybe you feel like it’s been a long time and the fire can’t be reignited on whatever it is that you once were passionate and on fire for. I want to encourage you to get in God’s presence, go into the secret place and concentrate on Him. He’ll give you everything you need to come back reignited and on fire.
My prayer today is that God will reignite the fire within us. That our hearts and minds will be focused on God and where He has us in this current moment.
With love,
-Yours Truly, Eb
