Happy Saturday! Today I wanted to take time to encourage not only you but to encourage myself. As I take time to reflect on the past few weeks I woke up this morning and heard the word “breathe”. I then begin to sing in my head the song “Breathe” by Maverick City and it really reminded me that no matter what chaos may come that I can truly release any burdens heavy or light to God.
I’m reminded of 1 Peter 5:7 which states that we should cast all of our care upon Him, for He cares for us. Him is referring to God. God cares about everything that we care about. God is concerned about everything that we are concerned about. He knows and He’s there. I have to often remind myself that God can carry everything that I’m carrying. Actually He can carry it better than I can. Releasing whatever is heavy and burdening into God’s hand is the ultimate solution to maneuvering day to day.
Now I have not mastered this at all, however I try my best to make it a daily choice to release my burdens to God. When I do, I’m able to truly breathe, I’m able to experience relief and walk in daughtership with God. When we truly realize and understand that God is our father, meaning that He is a provider, a comforter, a friend, a God with a plan and a solution. He’s a protector, a way maker. He’s literally EVERYTHING.
As we prepare to enter into a new week, I’m not only encouraging you but challenging you to release whatever heavy burden you’re carrying to God and breathe. Release your concerns, release what’s keeping you up at night. Release it.
My prayer today is that we find rest, peace, comfort and relief in the coming days, weeks, months and even years. I pray that we will experience being God’s child and trust God knowing that He’s already worked it out.
With love,
-Yours Truly, Eb
