Happy Saturday! I want to take a moment to encourage you this morning. As I’ve been standing and believing in God for major things to take place in my life and others, there have been times where I’ve had to really shift my focus not on the situation but on who God is and what He said. Of course when we’re praying, being intentional and fighting against attacks it seems as though the attacks double or maybe even triple. One thing I was constantly reminded of was the suddenly of God.
When my mind tried to go to the what if’s of life. God reminded me of the suddenly moments that took place during biblical times and during current times. He brought back to my memory the sudden moments where He has provided, healed, vindicated, and simply made a way suddenly. I think about how the time before the suddenly tends to feel like a long extended time. He healed Lazarus suddenly, (John 11) but Mary and Martha felt as though if Jesus came quicker Lazarus wouldn’t experience death. However in days…not months, not weeks, not years, but days Jesus came and rose Lazarus from the taste of death. He suddenly healed Jairus’ daughter suddenly. (Matthew 9:18-26) He’s even healed me suddenly. Blessed me suddenly, and even others I know.
I share those moments to say God is a God of suddenly. Even though He doesn’t move in out time His time is not our time. Just as His ways and thoughts aren’t like ours either. God’s time exceeds what we think, know or understand about time. That doesn’t mean God doesn’t hear, see or know. What it does mean is that when whatever you’re believing God for happens. It will happen suddenly and God will be glorified. Our job is to keep believing! Keep trusting. Keep holding on to our faith and trust in God who is able to perform.
My prayer today is that those of us who are trusting and believing God for the unthinkable to take place that we will experience a suddenly by God that will blow our minds. Thank God will show Himself sovereign and mighty and that we will have even another reason to praise who He is.
