You Are Chosen

Happy Saturday my friends! This week has been one that took me on a doozy and even in all of that I’ve been very observant of the things that’s been happening not just in my life but in the earth. I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve noticed how things on earth have gotten even more darker lately and as it’s getting darker and more evil I realized that so many people are either ignorant or oblivious to those things.
I’ve noticed even in all of this that God has been affirming me in a particular area and it almost feels like a preparation to sound the alarm on certain things. I find myself in the seat of a student and where God is my teacher, teaching me about how to do and go about things that He wants to make known and clear to His people. In hindsight it’s kind of funny because I had a whole “theme” for this chapter of my life and it’s like it’s been re-entitled to the word “chosen.”
The word chosen means simply to select, pick out, opt for, go for, take, come down in favor of, appoint, etc. Most people tie “chosen” with a thirst for something or want for something and in some aspects the definition fits. What I’ve learned though is that when God chooses you for something it’s not typically because you’ve “thirsted for a thing” in a way of it pleasuring or fleshly desires for a thing. Even God chooses you it’s for purpose, for assignment, it’s for His will to manifest and come to pass in the earth.
This year I finally decided to accept what God has chosen me to do and all that tends to come with it…even the heaviness of it all. It’s not a burden, it’s a privilege yet to carry it all truly requires me to rely on God alone.
I share this because I’m sure there are many other people who feel or knows that God has chosen them for something and you may be on the fence or may be hesitant to walk fully in what that looks like. As someone who has been there, I encourage you to take that step and trust God with it all. He chose you for a reason. Could it be that you were chosen for a time such as this? Esther 4:14
My prayer today is that those who are chosen will rise to the occasion. I pray that God will open the eyes of His chosen ones for this time and that we all will walk in obedience and trust in God. I pray that we ready ourselves and steward ourselves well for that time.
With love,
-Yours Truly, Eb
